Galusha Photo Album

The photos are apparently from the 1860s to early 1880s. It may have belonged to Phoebe Bristol Kilmer, originally of Fort Miller in the Town of Fort Edward, Washington County, NY. My mom had a photo album of unknown origin. It is a small album, approximately 3 inches by 4 inches, with ornate and impressed cardboard covers and metal clasps for locking. It is about 2 inches thick. There are about 52 pictures inside, photos and tin-types, in cardboard frames. The photos are apparently from the 1860s to early 1880s. It may have belonged to my mom’s grandmother Phoebe Bristol Kilmer, originally of Fort Miller in the Town of Fort Edward, Washington County, NY. This is merely a guess, and not based on solid evidence. I base the guess on the fact, that the four identified people (of 52 photos) are all apparently also of Fort Miller, and, therefore, may have been related to my great-grandmother. It is also possible that the album has nothing to do with my ancestors, and may have been picked up randomly in a flea market.
